More Than Healthcare—A Journey Toward Wholeness
At Sozo Integrative Health, we believe healthcare should be personal. This isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of what we believe in.
Too often, patients feel rushed, unheard, or frustrated by a system that focuses primarily on managing symptoms. Our mission is to provide a different experience—one that takes the time to understand your story, explore the root causes of health concerns, and develop a personalized plan that supports lasting wellness.
The name Sozo comes from a Greek word meaning to be made well, restored, or made whole. That vision is at the heart of everything we do.
We believe that true health involves more than the absence of disease. It encompasses the mind, body, emotions, lifestyle, and overall well-being of each individual as they pursue greater health, wellness, and wholeness.
Meet Your Provider
Hi, I’m Whitney Almy APRN, FNP-C
I was born and raised on a farm in Crofton, Kentucky and my roots run deep in the Christian County community. As a wife, mother of two teenagers, and Family Nurse Practitioner, I understand how closely our health impacts every aspect of life.
My nursing career began in 2013 as a Registered Nurse, with experience in hospital medical-surgical care and advanced renal care. After becoming a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022, I practiced in a rural healthcare setting alongside a local pulmonologist, caring for patients with a wide range of conditions and health concerns. In 2025, I began pursuing additional training in functional medicine which focuses on root cause of illness.
Throughout my career I have been passionate about helping patients improve their health, but I often found myself asking an important question:
Why are we only treating symptoms when there may be deeper reasons those symptoms exist?
Why Sozo Integrative Health?
Experience in both hopsital and outpatient settings allowed us to see the increadible value of conventional medicine. It saves lives, treats acute illness, and plays an essential role in healthcare.
However, we have also experienced the limitations of a system where appointments are often limited to just a few minutes. When time is short, the focus frequently becomes managing symptoms rather than exploring the underlying factors that may be contributing to illness.
We founded Sozo Integrative Health because we wanted the opportunity to create a patient-focused health practice without constraints driven by big business and conventional medicine. Our goal is to focus on spending more time with patients, listen to their stories, and better understand the “why” behind their health concerns.
Health is more than a diagnosis or a lab result. True wellness involves the mind, body, emotions, lifestyle, and overall well-being of each individual.
Our heart is to walk alongside our patients as they pursue greater health and wholeness—and ultimately equip them with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive independently.
What Makes Our Approach Different?

New patient consultations last as long as they need to in order to allow us appropriate time to understand your health history, concerns, goals, and the factors that may be influencing your well-being.
Personalized Care
Every patient recieves an individualized plan tailored to their unique history, lifestyle, goals, and needs.
Root-Cause Focus
Rather than simply managing symptoms, we work to identify and address the underlying contributors to health concerns whenever possible.
Collaborative Partnership
We believe meaningful health improvements happen when patients and providers work together toward a shared goal.
